“The President created this polarized environment and now he has to deal with it.”—
Alex Castellanos just said something to this extent on AC360. Sorry, I was too distracted trying to figure out exactly what the hell he was talking about. President Obama created this environment? I’m pretty sure Obama’s not the one throwing around names like foreign-born, Muslim extremist, socialist, anti-Christ, ‘out to ruin America,’ and elitist, among many others. Mr. Castellanos, you might want to take a good, long look at your own party.
President Obama’s done nothing, but try to compromise again and again, most of the time at the frustration of his own party. How does that equal creating a ‘polarized environment?’ (via kileyrae)
Don’t you get it: his very existence is polarizing.
yeah … Meteorologists expect Tropical Storm Katia to strengthen into a hurricane tonight — making it the second Atlantic-based hurricane in a week. (Dunno if you heard, but the last one was a bit of a doozy.) The storm’s current path shows Katia moving west-northwest toward North America.
They gave in. Come on. You could’ve easily kept this fight going for an entire week, Obama. Now you’re competing with the start of the NFL season. Do people give more of a crap about jobs or the fact that two teams of people who get overpaid for their work will entertain them for a couple of hours?
He should’ve stood his ground!! Stop giving in to the GOP!
Throughout August, I’ve been trying to get back to running. Like everyone else, I started off great in February but slacked off as work got hectic. My end goal is a 5K in less than 2 hours, ideally in 1. Crazy right? I know but it’s a goal :) So I’m getting back and I’m averaging a mile in 18 minutes. It’s a start right?
In addition to the runs, I’m also adding the following:
I set out to repeat 6 times but today only got 2 sets…
Seems like I have so far to go, but I know the end result will be well worth the struggle!!
Boehner wants Obama’s jobs address pushed back: It’s being reported that House Speaker John Boehner has asked President Obama to reschedule his jobs address to the Congress, which is set for September 7th, to the following day. Reports offer no specific elaboration on Boehner’s motive beyond…
Having a bad day? by JANE POWELL on AUGUST 31, 2011
This was definitely on time for me today!!
“It’s just one of those days.”
There will be days when you’ll end up having a melt down, freaking out, and going into an emotional tailspin. It’s completely normal. The key is to let it happen.
What’s important is, once it’s over, you need to pick up the pieces and regain your composure. This is your responsibility. It’s crucial not to beat yourself up because you lost control. Remember a fall out doesn’t mean failure.
Expect bad days every once in a while. These days may scare and upset you, but realize they are all part of life.
then A while back, AT&T announced it would attempt to purchase T-Mobile for $39 billion, in an attempt to shore up deficiencies in its wireless network. Other companies and consumer groups, most notably Sprint, loudly complained.
now Now the Justice Department’s trying to block the merger. “AT&T’s elimination of T-Mobile as an independent, low-priced rival would remove a significant competitive force from the market,” their complaint said. *BOOM.* source
